We are thrilled to present another gem from the Embu region, nestled near the majestic slopes of Mt. Kenya. This year has proven to be an extraordinary harvest for Embu—a terroir we are celebrating deeply, having also proudly sourced our Kianyangi lot from this very same region.
This lot showcases a remarkable brightness for an Embu coffee, yet it carries a beautifully subtle distinction from the classic Nyeri acidity. While it is wonderfully vibrant and pleasantly acidic, it is also incredibly juicy and profoundly sweet.
In the cup, it evokes the rich, tart sweetness of tamarind and Japanese Ume plums. The signature Embu terroir shines through in the finish, leaving a pleasantly spicy, tropical aftertaste that beautifully rounds out the experience. Expect a dynamic cup bursting with vibrant mango, elegant Ume (Japanese plum) notes, and a deep, complex sweetness of tamarind.
