Cupping review
Rugori is plethora of sweet fruit flavors. Expect juicy blueberry followed by sweet dried prune then delicate apricot sweetness in the finish; with hints of lemon throughout.

Rugori 2023/2024 crop
This is our 2nd purchase from Rugori washing station from our long time partner GREENCO. Our first purchase of this Rugori coffee was in the last year (March 2023) and since then we have been impressed with its unique fruit flavors and impeccable physical quality; this coffee is pretty dense and hard with incredible quality in the acidity aspect. While the cultivation altitude is relatively low for a Burundi coffee, Rugori has been offering one of the best intensity in Burundi origins.
GREENCO
Rugori washing station is owned by GREENCO based in Switzerland. They have 13 washing stations in Burundi (8 in Kayanza and 5 in Ngozi). So far as we have tried, our overall impression is that Ngozi coffee delights with juiciness with sweet fruit flavors while Kayanaza coffees are bright with peach like flavors. We love terroirs and also GREENCO believes that Burundi coffees have the most complex and exotic terroir in the world, hence they have been supporting the coffee industry in this country since2015.
