La Soledad Geisha is back!
Finca La Soledad is one of the most successful coffee producer in Acatenango region, especially they won the 4th place in COE2018 with their Geisha. This is our 2nd purchase from La Soledad/Henio. Our first purchase of their Geisha was in 2021, we were pretty happy with the quality of their Geisha: generally, it has everything that we seek for in a Guatemala Geisha. We are so pleased to have this back again this year and we can honestly say this harvest is even better than the one we had previously. This Geisha delights with some Classic Geisha flavors with impeccable intensity in each factor. We would say that was one of the best experiences we had from those Geishas produced outside Panama and the one of the most intense Geisha flavors we had this year. Highly recommended for those who look for a bold and intense washed Geisha!
Acatenango terroir and Geisha cultivar
We have been trying some top notch Geishas(including COE 1st or 2nd place winners) produced in Guatemala, all of them are, of course, pretty nice but we have a feeling that Acatenango is really ideal for Geisha production: not only the hyped ones such as COE winners but literally everything that we had, offered pleasant classic Geisha notes vibrantly. Besides the classic Geisha notes, generally, Acatenago Geishas are pretty round, balanced, mild and very sweet with thick mouthfeels. We would say this Geisha always represents the terroir the best.
